It takes a holistic view of how well an organisation is managed and an approved organisation must demonstrate to an independent assessor, on an annual basis, that it has met defined standards. BS 7984
Is a British Standard Code of Practice which covers key-holding and response services. BS 7984 gives recommendations for the management, staffing and operation of an organization providing key-holding and response services on a contracted basis. It also provides best practice in security companies and principles in key-holding.

BS 7499
Is a British Standard Code of Practice which covers static site guarding and mobile patrol service. BS 7499 gives recommendations for the management, staffing and operation of an organization providing security guarding services on a static site and/or mobile patrol basis.
BS 7858
Is a British Standard Code of Practice which covers security screening of individuals employed in a security environment. BS 7858 gives recommendations for the security screening of individuals to be employed in an environment where the security and safety of people, goods or property is a requirement of the employing organization’s operations and/or where such security screening is in the public interest.
BS 7958
Is a British Standard Code of Practise that gives recommendations for the operation and management of Closed circuit television (CCTV) within a controlled environment. It applies where data that might be offered as evidence is received, stored, reviewed or analysed. It also applies to the monitoring of traffic regulations. BS 7958 also provides good practice for all other CCTV schemes. For control rooms whose operation falls within the scope of BS 7499.
BS 10800
This standard is the overarching, umbrella standard, for the entire security services portfolio and is normatively cited in all of them. It details the manner in which an organisation manages the provision of security services at a strategic level.
